Applicants are required to complete the online application and submit physical copies of their credentials to the university. Below is the step-by-step process:

Step 1: Online Application

  1. Visit the CUK website: www.cuk.ac.ke
  2. Navigate to the footer section under “IMPORTANT LINKS
  3. Click on “ONLINE RECRUITMENT PORTAL
  4. Sign Up to create an account (if new user)
  5. Log in using your new credentials
  6. Navigate to “Main Menu” and fill out CUK Form 1 by providing:
    • Profile Information
    • Academic Qualifications
    • Professional Certifications
    • Employment History
    • Uploaded Certificates
    • References
  7. Proceed to “Vacant Positions,” select the job you wish to apply for
  8. Click “Apply This One” then “View Requirements & Apply”
  9. Submit the application and confirm successful submission (status will read “Submitted”)

Step 2: Submission of Hard Copy Documents

Submit one hard copy of the following documents:

Eligibility and Compliance Requirements

Minimum Qualifications (Role-specific)

Applicants must meet the role-specific academic, technical, and experiential qualifications as detailed on the online portal.

Recognition of Foreign Qualifications

All applicants with degrees obtained outside Kenya must attach a recognition and equation certificate from the Commission for University Education (CUE).

Chapter Six Constitutional Requirements

All successful candidates will be expected to provide the following clearance certificates:

  • Police Clearance Certificate from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI)
  • Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
  • HELB Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board
  • EACC Clearance Certificate from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission
  • Credit Bureau Report from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)

Failure to submit these certificates may result in disqualification.
