Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Records Management

  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in accordance with public sector accounting standards.

Payroll & Expenditure Management

  • Administer the payroll system, ensuring accuracy in staff salaries, allowances, and statutory deductions.
  • Authorize payments and verify procurement expenditures against approved budgets.
  • Monitor departmental spending to ensure adherence to institutional financial protocols.

Use of Financial Systems & Tools

  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite to process, monitor, and report on transactions.
  • Generate real-time reports using financial dashboards and provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Train junior accounts staff, ensuring standardization and best practices across finance functions.

Qualifications and Skills

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a financial or accounting role, preferably within public or educational institutions
