1. Principal – KISWCD (Full-Time, Nairobi)
Overview
The Principal will serve as the chief academic and administrative officer of the institution, responsible for strategic leadership, academic oversight, and operational excellence. This is a high-level leadership role that requires not only technical and academic expertise but also strong people management, financial acumen, and institutional governance skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide visionary leadership in line with the institute’s mission and strategic goals
- Oversee all academic, administrative, and operational functions, including curriculum implementation, staff performance, and learner welfare
- Lead planning and evaluation efforts to ensure quality assurance and continuous improvement
- Strengthen institutional partnerships, accreditations, and stakeholder engagement
- Manage finances and resources efficiently, including budgeting and resource allocation
- Foster a culture of discipline, innovation, accountability, and excellence
- Represent the institution in regulatory, donor, and stakeholder forums
- Ensure compliance with Ministry of Education, TVET, and legal frameworks
Minimum Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Technical Education, Sociology, Business, or Development Studies
- A Diploma in Technical Education will be an added advantage
- Over 5 years of experience in a TVET or tertiary institution, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity
- Proven strong leadership and management skills
- Business acumen and ability to manage institutional finances
- Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the DCI
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and engage with education regulators and partners

2. Short Course Trainers / Consultants – Multiple Fields (Full-Time, Nairobi)
Overview
KISWCD is seeking qualified trainers or consultants to lead professional short courses in key development and management areas. These roles are ideal for experienced educators and subject-matter experts looking to engage in capacity-building through short-term training modules. Consultants will deliver tailored programs for NGOs, government institutions, and private sector clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver short professional courses based on demand-driven modules in areas such as:
- Project Management
- Counseling
- Development Studies
- Business Management
- Social Work
- Leadership
- Facilitate sessions in person and/or online using engaging and interactive methods
- Support learner assessments, evaluations, and reporting
- Contribute to curriculum updates and institutional knowledge products
- Liaise with clients, NGO partners, or agencies for training coordination
- Provide mentorship and coaching to learners or junior facilitators
Minimum Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a relevant field: Project Management, Counseling, Business, Leadership, Development, or Social Work
- Minimum of 5 years of experience delivering professional development or consultancy training
- Demonstrated TOT (Training of Trainers) certification or skills
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Competency in curriculum development and adult learning methodologies
- Ability to work with diverse learners, including government and NGO professionals
- Certificate of Good Conduct from DCI

3. College Driver – KISWCD (Full-Time, Nairobi)
Overview
The College Driver plays a key role in the smooth operation of the institution, providing safe, efficient, and timely transport services. The role involves transporting staff, trainers, and guests, as well as supporting logistics for events and academic programs. This is a trusted support position requiring discipline, customer service, and basic maintenance knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport staff and guests to and from designated locations
- Maintain daily vehicle logs and fuel usage reports
- Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-serviced, and roadworthy at all times
- Assist with clerical or logistics tasks, including delivering official documents
- Report vehicle defects and arrange for timely repairs or service
- Comply with traffic laws, institutional regulations, and safety protocols
- Support event transportation, student field trips, and emergency movements
Minimum Qualifications and Skills
- KCSE certificate, minimum grade D+
- Valid PSV Driving License for light vehicles
- Certificate of Good Conduct from DCI
- NYS Certificate will be an added advantage
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a driver in an institutional or corporate setting
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Excellent time management and interpersonal skills

- Well-versed with Nairobi and surrounding road networks
