As part of its expanding operations, KEDA is now recruiting a Logistics Supervisor to manage daily transport logistics, oversee dispatch activities, support compliance, and contribute to the company’s strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities
As the Logistics Supervisor, you will be expected to lead logistics execution with precision, accountability, and a keen eye for compliance. You will serve as the operational backbone that ensures product movement happens efficiently, cost-effectively, and safely.
Daily Operations:
- Oversee all daily delivery tasks, ensuring that dispatch targets (including T+1 dispatch timelines) are strictly achieved without delays.
- Monitor customer delivery schedules and guarantee the timely, complete arrival of consignments to key clients.
- Track and report damage rates, proactively addressing any inefficiencies or bottlenecks in the transportation process.
Departmental Oversight:
- Assist and monitor daily departmental operations, including accounting coordination, to prevent non-compliance, over-budgeting, and supply chain risks.
- Evaluate staff performance and workload within the dispatch and logistics departments, promoting accountability and team efficiency.
Strategic Logistics Planning:
- Collaborate with Chinese managers and regional leadership to explore new external carrier markets and transportation capacities.
- Contribute to supply chain bargaining strategies, price negotiations, and vendor performance reviews.
- Develop comprehensive transportation cost reduction frameworks that maintain high quality and service standards.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, transport regulations, and government policies for road usage, loading limits, and documentation.
- Implement preventative risk management strategies to mitigate delivery delays, cargo damage, or unauthorized movement.
Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Work closely with internal departments such as warehouse, dispatch, procurement, sales, and customer service to align logistics operations.
- Engage with external transport vendors, customs authorities, and third-party logistics providers to coordinate efficient routes and maintain service-level agreements (SLAs).
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify areas for process enhancement, digitalization, or automation within the logistics chain.
- Support the adoption of modern transportation software and real-time tracking tools to improve visibility and transparency.
Leadership and Reporting:
- Provide daily and weekly reports on logistics operations, delays, risk assessments, and carrier performance.
- Train and mentor dispatch staff on scheduling, documentation, safety compliance, and emergency response.
- Handle other logistics-related tasks as assigned by company leadership.
Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you will need both technical expertise and people management skills. The ideal candidate is not only proficient in logistics technologies but is also adaptable, communicative, and results-oriented.
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Business Operations, or related field from a recognized institution.
Required Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in logistics supervision, preferably within a manufacturing, industrial, or FMCG environment.
Technical Competencies:
- Excellent command of logistics planning, route optimization, and delivery scheduling.
- Familiarity with modern transportation technologies, vehicle tracking systems, and ERP software used in supply chain operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (for dispatch logs), Word (for reporting), and PowerPoint (for presenting KPIs).
Interpersonal and Managerial Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage internal teams and engage vendors/partners.
- Ability to multitask under pressure in fast-moving environments with tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated capacity to work independently and take initiative without constant supervision.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational discipline.
- Flexibility to work odd hours or shifts depending on delivery schedules.
Additional Desirable Traits:
- Proven record of safety-first leadership.
- Basic knowledge of customs clearance and cross-border logistics will be a bonus.
- Familiarity with Kaizen, Lean logistics principles, or Six Sigma will add value.
