Daivin Auto, a leader in auto body repair and painting services in Nairobi, is hiring a dedicated Rider (Motorbike Courier) to join our dynamic operations team. This position is ideal for a disciplined individual who understands the Nairobi road network, has in-depth knowledge of vehicle parts, and enjoys working independently while ensuring precise and timely deliveries.
You will be the logistical backbone of our supply chain—sourcing car parts, making pickups and deliveries, and serving as a professional face of Daivin Auto. This role is integral to streamlining our repair and paint operations, improving turnaround times, and supporting excellent customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will perform the following tasks:
1. Parts Collection and Delivery
- Collect and deliver automotive spare parts, consumables, and tools from suppliers, vendors, and warehouses to the Daivin Auto premises.
- Make urgent runs for unavailable components to avoid delays in service delivery.
- Handle documentation and signature collection when delivering items to customers, vendors, or government offices.
2. Route Planning and Time Management
- Plan daily routes to maximize efficiency, fuel savings, and delivery turnaround time.
- Manage delivery schedules, monitor dispatch windows, and update supervisors on ETAs (Estimated Time of Arrival).
- Track high-priority orders and assist in communicating estimated delivery timelines to internal staff.
3. Verification and Accuracy
- Cross-check part numbers, descriptions, and conditions before accepting and delivering items.
- Ensure documentation such as delivery notes, invoices, or receipts matches physical deliveries.
- Identify and flag potential discrepancies before they affect operations.
4. Client and Partner Interaction
- Deliver items in a courteous, professional, and customer-friendly manner.
- Collect feedback where applicable and escalate concerns or complaints to the supervisor.
- Represent Daivin Auto as a professional, trustworthy service provider during interactions with suppliers and clients.
5. Motorbike Maintenance and Safety
- Inspect and maintain the assigned motorbike daily, ensuring it is roadworthy, clean, and fully fueled.
- Report mechanical issues and schedule timely servicing and repairs with the maintenance team.
- Ensure personal safety by always wearing protective gear such as helmets and reflective vests.
6. Compliance and Recordkeeping
- Comply with Kenyan traffic regulations, delivery protocols, and in-house policies.
- Maintain an accurate log of daily trips, deliveries, expenses, and issues.
- Submit daily or weekly reports as requested by the logistics team.
7. Support Logistics and Store Operations
- Assist in stock count, part verification, and in-house part storage and retrieval when not on delivery assignments.
- Help arrange or prepare car parts for paint or assembly teams.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following minimum requirements:
Educational Requirements:
- KCSE Certificate or above
License and Certifications:
- Valid Class F or G motorcycle driving license from NTSA
- Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from DCI
- First Aid or Defensive Riding Certification (desirable)
Work Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a motorbike courier in a busy urban setting
- Prior experience in an automotive shop, delivery service, or logistics company will be an added advantage
Technical Competencies:
- Excellent knowledge of automotive spare parts and tools (filters, bumpers, brake pads, panels, lights, etc.)
- Ability to work with GPS systems, Google Maps, WhatsApp, and delivery apps
- Competence in handling receipts, petty cash, and supplier documents

- Willing to work beyond standard hours when emergencies or breakdowns require immediate response
Working Conditions and Benefits
- Working Days: Monday to Saturday (occasional Sundays on demand)
- Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM (subject to job demands)
