  • Support implementation of climate-informed surveillance and cross-sector preparedness
  • Oversee multi-country health security initiatives, ensuring donor compliance and robust monitoring
  • Coordinate the Regional Laboratory program, managing quality assurance and staff capacity building
  • Assess regional diagnostic priorities with global and national stakeholders
• Business Development (30%):
  • Ensure program sustainability and secure funding through Amref’s Business Development Unit
  • Identify funding opportunities and lead proposal writing and donor negotiations
  • Develop strategies to enhance program visibility and impact
• Research, Learning and Innovation (10%):
  • Conduct operational and scientific research, establish partnerships, and publish papers
  • Collaborate with academic institutions on predictive analytics for climate-sensitive diseases

Qualifications and Skills

• Preferred: Peer-reviewed publications, influence on national/regional One Health strategies, familiarity with laboratory systems, AMR, and integrated surveillance
• Skills:
