KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead Curriculum Implementation Across the Lower Primary Section

  • Oversee the effective delivery of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) by ensuring that lesson planning, classroom delivery, and assessment are aligned with the national standards and the school’s philosophy
  • Guide teaching staff in adopting learner-centered and competency-driven approaches that foster creativity, critical thinking, and practical skills among young learners

Enhance School–Parent–Community Partnerships

Manage Resources and Budgets Effectively

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Minimum of five (5) years of practical classroom teaching experience, preferably in lower primary grades
  • Registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) and holder of a valid TSC number
  • Proven leadership experience within a school setting—such as serving as a senior teacher, head of subject, or academic coordinator
  • In-depth understanding of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) including learning outcomes, strands, sub-strands, and assessment rubrics
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage schedules, programs, and administrative tasks simultaneously
  • High pedagogical competence and the ability to model and guide instructional best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills—both oral and written—for effective interaction with colleagues, learners, and parents
  • Experience in teacher evaluation, coaching, and capacity-building programs

  • Knowledge of pastoral care frameworks, including child safeguarding, student wellness, and behavior support
