This Operations Director opportunity is ideal for early-career leaders who are passionate about youth empowerment, eager to master nonprofit operations, and motivated by service to society. ITF is offering not just a title, but a transformative journey—positioning the Operations Director as a central force behind impactful community programs, regional partnerships, and youth-led innovations.
About International Transformation Foundation (ITF)
The International Transformation Foundation (ITF) is an internationally recognized, youth-led, nonprofit organization with a strong footprint in Africa. Rooted in principles of youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership, ITF seeks to build systems where young people can thrive economically and socially.
Founded on the belief that young people must take ownership of their development journey, ITF creates practical platforms that allow youth to lead, learn, earn, and influence public discourse. The foundation is known for converting community-level challenges into collaborative, scalable, and sustainable projects.
ITF’s operations are guided by a committed leadership, driven volunteers, and project partners from Europe and Africa. Its key focus areas include water access, green entrepreneurship, microfinance, and climate-smart agriculture. The Operations Director works across all these domains, ensuring consistency in delivery, impact tracking, and institutional learning.
ITF’s Flagship Programs
1. Join the Pipe Project
A sustainability and youth-enterprise initiative that installs public water stations in urban and peri-urban African areas:
- Water Kiosk at School: A unique hybrid model combining access to clean water and student-led entrepreneurship. Learners manage school kiosks and distribute water to local residents, earning income for their institutions while gaining real business skills.
- Public Tap Water Stations: ITF partners with cities and counties to establish free drinking water points in bus stations, parks, and public centers. This addresses both health and environmental issues around plastic bottle waste.
2. Jijenge Kijana Fund
This project helps youth launch and scale small businesses by offering:
- Microcredit and microsavings schemes
- Financial literacy training
- Ongoing mentorship and access to markets
3. Erasmus+ GEAVET Project
A climate-focused, EU-Africa collaboration for transforming agricultural training into a greener, job-creating, tech-driven ecosystem. The project aims to:
- Equip young farmers with nature-positive techniques
- Bridge vocational training and job market needs
- Create employment opportunities through sustainable agriculture
The Operations Director is involved in supervising these initiatives from planning through execution, ensuring organizational alignment and stakeholder satisfaction.
