Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Master’s degree in Project Management or related social sciences with 7 years of experience, including 3 years at a managerial level, in continent-wide project development and implementation; OR Bachelor’s degree in the same fields with 10 years of experience, including 3 years at a supervisory level; PhD in a relevant field is an advantage
- Experience: Expertise in strategic planning, monitoring, data collection/analysis (quantitative/qualitative), stakeholder management, and partnership building; certification in Project Management (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) is desirable
- Technical Skills: Excellent writing/editing skills, knowledge of animal/agricultural sector trends, and proficiency in MS Teams, Outlook, data analysis, and project management tools
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities
- Creativity: Innovative problem-solving and idea generation
- Preferred: International work experience in programme management
- Preferred: Familiarity with AU-IBAR’s mandate and African Union structures
- Languages: Proficiency in one AU working language (Arabic, English, French, Kiswahili, Portuguese, Spanish) is mandatory; fluency in another is an added advantage
