1. Front Office and Business Development Officer (Nairobi – 1 Post)
Brief Overview:
This role combines front-office management with proactive business development, serving as a key interface for clients while driving new opportunities in solar energy solutions at Keru Solar.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in solar.
- Maintain and follow up on a strong pipeline of prospects.
- Support sales with product knowledge (FoxESS & Keru Solar solutions).
- Serve as the first point of contact for clients and visitors.
- Manage front-office operations and ensure a professional reception.
- Handle office administration, documentation, and basic bookkeeping.
- Assist management with reports, minutes, errands, and follow-ups.
Requirements for Appointment / Qualifications
- Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Renewable Energy, or related field.
- 2-3 years’ experience in business development, front-office operations and sales support in the renewable energy sector.
- Experience in solar is a strong advantage.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools.
- Understanding of solar systems is an added advantage.
- Professional, presentable, and highly reliable.
- Must be fluent in English.

2. Sales Lead (Nairobi – 1 Post)
Brief Overview:
This leadership position drives Keru Solar’s revenue growth through strategic sales of solar products and solutions, building partnerships and closing high-value deals in the renewable energy market.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute Keru Solar’s sales strategy for solar products and solutions.
- Drive sales of hybrid inverters, lithium-ion batteries, and C&I energy solutions.
- Build, manage, and convert a strong pipeline of installers, EPCs, and commercial clients.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key partners and customers.
- Lead negotiations, prepare proposals, and close high-value deals.
- Track sales performance, prepare forecasts, and report to management.
- Provide market intelligence on competitors, pricing, and customer needs.
- Collaborate closely with technical and operations teams to ensure customer success.
Requirements for Appointment / Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience selling solar products and/or solar energy solutions.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in the renewable energy sector.
- Strong understanding of solar PV systems, inverters, batteries, and C&I solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Renewable Energy, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-management skills.
- Self-driven, results-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-growing startup environment.
- Strong proposal writing and CRM reporting skills.
