About the 3rd Feminist Republik Festival
Hosted by UAF-Africa, the 3rd edition of the Feminist Republik Festival (FRF) is scheduled for 27–30 November 2025 in Mombasa, Kenya. The festival is a convergence space for African feminist organizers, Womxn Human Rights Defenders (WHRDs), artists, and scholars to interrogate crisis, resistance, trauma, healing, and transformative futures.
This year’s theme centers on “Regeneration Through Crisis”—exploring feminist responses to polycrises while creating space to mourn, heal, celebrate, and strategize. The festival blends storytelling, dance, poetry, music, rituals, performance art, and healing practices in an embodied, participatory format.
