Key Responsibilities

  • Policy Enforcement: Enforce company rules, security protocols, and participate as a key member of the facility’s Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) Committee and compliance teams.
  • Security Administration: Manage the administration of security staff, allocation of resources, and operation of security equipment within the farm premises.
  • Policy Development: Assist the Security Manager in formulating and updating security policies, standard operating procedures, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Security Audits: Conduct regular security surveys and risk assessments within the premises, advising management on necessary improvements.
  • Crime Prevention: Detect security threats and implement preventive measures to reduce incidents of theft, vandalism, and breaches of farm security protocols.
  • External Liaison: Maintain effective collaboration with external agencies such as the police, law enforcement, and regulatory bodies to strengthen security frameworks.
  • Record-Keeping: Ensure that gate logs, visitor documentation, access control records, and internal security reports are accurately maintained.
  • Incident Reporting: Compile and submit comprehensive security incident reports and daily summaries to the Security Manager and/or General Manager.
  • Recruitment & Vetting: Assist in recruitment, vetting, training, and retention of qualified, disciplined, and motivated security personnel.
  • Discipline Management: Uphold high standards of staff discipline, oversee performance, and implement corrective measures where necessary.
  • Security Patrols: Supervise and monitor security patrol intelligence systems to ensure maximum coverage and timely incident response.
  • Investigations: Lead investigations related to theft, motor vehicle accidents, property damage, and other incidents occurring on farm premises.

Qualifications and Skills

Required Qualifications:

  • Academic Background: Diploma or Degree in Security Management, Risk Management, Law Enforcement, Criminology, or any relevant discipline from a recognized institution.

  • Training: Proven professional training in security operations, safety management, or related fields.
