1. Executive Assistant (EA) to the Country Director (Nairobi – 1 Post)
Brief Overview:
The Executive Assistant (EA) to the Country Director will provide high-level administrative, project management, and strategic coordination support to the Country Director, ensuring effective execution of executive priorities and organizational initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide the coordination of complex scheduling and travel to ensure timely and effective participation in high-level engagements.
- Determine appropriate communication strategies and advise on messaging that reflects the Country Director’s voice and maintains organizational integrity.
- Conduct document and task management using advanced technology platforms to support seamless collaboration and execution.
- Oversee cross-functional relationships and sustain a culture of excellence, professionalism, and mission alignment across executive initiatives.
- Evaluate and manage complex, multi-phase projects within the Country Director’s Office, applying all five areas of project management competency to ensure strategic alignment, timely execution, and sustained impact across global and country initiatives.
Requirements for Appointment / Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- At least 10 years of experience providing executive-level administrative support in a fast-paced, professional environment.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft SharePoint preferred; knowledge of Windows 10 is necessary.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and supervise executive-level administrative functions, including calendar management, travel coordination, and strategic meeting planning.
- Effective communication skills (both oral and written) with the capacity to advise and represent executive leadership through professional correspondence and stakeholder engagements.
- Proficiency in project management tools and principles, with the ability to anticipate needs and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Advanced technological literacy, including document management systems, task tracking platforms, and virtual collaboration tools.
