Main Responsibilities
- Lead implementation/maintenance/monitoring of company-wide compliance across operations/support functions.
- Own/manage compliance framework (charter, code of conduct, anti-bribery, whistleblowing, privacy, use-of-force, firearms, third-party due diligence).
- Ensure continuous compliance with legislation/regulatory directives/licensing (personnel vetting/training/insignia).
- Oversee data protection/privacy compliance (registrations/assessments/surveillance monitoring).
- Plan/lead internal audits, coordinate external audits/certifications.
- Develop/maintain audit checklists, evidence controls, CAPA processes, report outcomes with remediation to CEO/Board.
- Lead documentation management/updates for operational practices/change management.
- Monitor/interpret/communicate regulatory/industry changes, advise senior management on updates.
- Maintain/manage risk register (regulatory/contractual/operational/human rights/data privacy/cybersecurity/anti-bribery/third-party/EHS/business continuity).
- Coordinate investigations into breaches/misconduct/human rights complaints/data incidents/near-misses, liaise with HR on disciplinary.
- Support emergency response planning/scenario testing/post-incident reviews/lessons-learned.
- Oversee community engagement for sensitive deployments, ensure accessible grievance mechanisms.
- Develop/implement compliance training (onboarding/annual/specialist).
- Certify staff in core SOPs, maintain auditable records.
- Collaborate with marketing/communications on awareness/whistleblowing/ethical campaigns.
- Review contracts/RFPs/MSAs/SLAs for compliance obligations, ensure operational readiness/audit evidence for clients.
- Provide compliance input to bid teams, participate in client reviews.
- Audit subcontractors/vendors, enforce corrective actions.
- Produce monthly/quarterly compliance dashboards/board reports.
Minimum Requirements and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Security Management, Risk, Business, or related field.
- 8–12+ years in compliance/risk/audit/legal within security services, defense, logistics, or regulated industries.
- Proven computer skills.
- Demonstrable experience implementing/maintaining ISO 18788/9001/27001/45001/14001/22301.
- Strong knowledge of PSRA 2016, Data Protection Act 2019, employment law, firearms regulations, etc.
- Professional certifications preferred: ISO Lead Auditor.
- Excellent stakeholder management, investigation skills, board-level reporting.
- Exceptional problem-solving using sound judgment.
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills (handling difficult conversations professionally).
