Vacancy 1: Head of Innovation – CIA Division

Location: Nairobi

Job Purpose

The Head of Innovation will be responsible for building and commercializing high-impact, customer-driven insurance solutions. This executive role will oversee everything from market research to product deployment. Your innovation agenda will empower Minet to lead in a digital-first insurance era.

Key Responsibilities

Innovation Strategy and Execution

  • Spearhead the end-to-end innovation lifecycle: ideation, testing, launch.
  • Manage a multi-year innovation pipeline aligned with market needs.

Product Development and Go-to-Market

  • Validate product-market fit via pilot testing.
  • Work with operations and underwriting to ensure scalable execution.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with all broking, underwriting, marketing, and compliance teams.
  • Apply agile methodologies and lean experimentation for faster delivery.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as innovation liaison to the CEO, board, partners, and regulators.
  • Represent Minet in forums focused on InsurTech, AI, Digital Transformation, and ESG.

Market Intelligence

  • Analyze global trends and map them to local client needs.
  • Provide forecasts and gap analysis to steer internal R&D priorities.

Culture Development

  • Launch internal innovation hubs and creative hackathons.
  • Drive knowledge-sharing and mentorship for junior staff.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or Technology.
  • Master’s degree in Innovation, Strategic Management, or MBA (preferred).
  • IIK/ACII certifications are an added advantage.

Experience

  • 7–10 years of insurance, fintech, or consulting experience.
  • At least 3 years in a product innovation or transformation leadership role.

Core Skills

  • Digital innovation, human-centered design, agile leadership.
  • Strategic storytelling, stakeholder influence.
  • Data fluency: KPIs, ROI modeling, analytics dashboards.

Vacancy 2: Account Manager – Business Development (Life)

Location: Nairobi

Job Purpose

As an Account Manager – Business Development, your primary role will be to attract new clients, manage the lead-to-policy lifecycle, and contribute to Minet’s revenue growth in the Life Insurance segment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build a healthy, active sales pipeline with opportunities at 40% above target.
  • Use CRM to log all prospects, follow-ups, client notes, and funnel tracking.
  • Lead client proposal creation, industry benchmarking, and tender responses.
  • Present at key conferences and exhibitions to represent Minet.
  • Coordinate with underwriting to ensure swift onboarding of new clients.

Vacancy 3: Account Manager – Retention (Life)

Location: Nairobi

Job Purpose

This position ensures long-term relationship management for existing life insurance clients. You’ll be responsible for renewal processes, policy upgrades, premium collection, and client education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain 100% policy retention rate.
  • Address all client queries within 48 hours.
  • Conduct annual benefits and member training for each client.
  • Monitor premium collection and follow up within 30 days of issuance.
  • Ensure SLA compliance in collaboration with underwriting and claims.

Minimum Qualifications
