Key Responsibilities

Gender & Inclusion Mainstreaming

  • Embed gender-equity principles within all CE4HOW work plans, budgets, and monitoring frameworks, ensuring alignment with Kenya’s Gender Policy and global best practice for NGO jobs in Kenya.
  • Conduct participatory gender analyses that identify barriers faced by female and male waste workers, producing actionable insights to inform project adaptation.

Qualifications and Skills

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Gender Studies, Sociology, Rural Development, Social Work, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum four (4) years’ professional experience—of which at least three (3) focus squarely on gender integration within development or humanitarian programming, preferably inside dynamic NGO jobs in Kenya.
  • Demonstrated mastery of gender-analysis tools, advocacy strategies, and participatory facilitation methods.
