Role Summary
The Quality Assurance Specialist (QAS) ensures the quality and accuracy of proposals and client deliverables (reports, PPTs, proposals, social media verbiage, website updates, etc.). The successful candidate will review content, format, and style to ensure all documents align with client requirements and AG standards.
This role is ideal for candidates with strong English writing and editing skills who enjoy improving the clarity, accuracy, and presentation of documents.
You will support the team by ensuring proposals, reports, PPT slides, and client-facing documents are well-written, consistent, and aligned with Altamont Group’s templates and standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Editing & Quality Assurance for Proposals
- Review proposals for grammar, clarity, consistency, and formatting.
- Ensure compliance with templates and required sections.
- Check for correct structure, flow, and readability.
- Verify basic details such as dates, titles, tables, and formatting.
- Support the proposal team by ensuring polished, error-free content.
2. Quality Assurance for Client Deliverables
(This includes reports, PPTs, and client-facing documents.)
- Proofread for grammar, spelling, and coherence.
- Ensure templates, branding, and styles are correctly applied.
- Review slides for clarity, formatting, and structure.
- Conduct surface-level accuracy checks (e.g., verifying repeated text, figures, headings).
- Identify inconsistencies or missing elements and flag them to the team.
- Ensure final documents look professional and client-ready.
3. Internal QA Support
- Follow existing QA checklists and review processes.
- Help improve templates and document formatting standards.
- Maintain organized version control and naming conventions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business, Social Sciences, or a related field.
Experience
- 2–3 years of experience in editing, document formatting, QA, communications, research support, or similar.
- Familiarity with research and evaluation processes.
- Experience in the humanitarian/development sectors.
Skills
- Excellent English writing and editing abilities (Western English preferred).
- Experience with document development and review with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow templates, instructions, and style guides.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage deadlines.
- Strong MS Word and PowerPoint skills.
Compensation
- USD 400–500/month.
