Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate clearing agents’ tasks under the Transport Manager’s supervision, ensuring timely and cost-effective freight clearance.
- Monitor transportation of goods to and from the MSF Supply Kenya Memkam warehouse, collaborating with the Purchasing Officer and Transport & Customs Officer (TCO).
- Ensure compliance with MSF standards, protocols, and procedures in supply operations, transport, and customs processes.
- Learn order processing with the Customer Service Officer (CSO), ensuring timely processing and sharing of Order Request Confirmations (ORCs) with missions.
- Provide timely updates and feedback to missions, supported by the CSO, to maintain effective communication.
- Archive supply operations documents accurately in MSF’s systems, including SharePoint and Nodhos.
- Consolidate packing lists for goods received at the Memkam warehouse, creating freight documents in Nodhos for pre-clearance.
- Support the tax exemption process under the supervision of the Transport Manager and TCO, collaborating with mission transport managers.
- Learn EPZ warehouse operations, maintaining accurate records of freight movements.
- Follow up with clearing agents and transporters to obtain Certificates of Exports (COE) for exported goods, where applicable.
- Screen transport invoices for validation by the Supply Chain Manager and ensure timely payment processing by Finance.
- Consolidate transporters’ and clearing agents’ invoices, ensuring charges align with agreed tariffs.
- Assist in obtaining quotations for purchasing a Reefer container and Genset under the Transport Manager’s guidance.

- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Clearing & Forwarding, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field, obtained within the last 6 months from a recognized institution.
