Key Responsibilities
- Monitor class attendance for both staff and students at the Nairobi City Campus, ensuring compliance with university policies.
- Create classes in the university system and allocate workloads to faculty members efficiently.
- Oversee examinations, including the processing and verification of examination marks.
- Implement disciplinary actions related to class attendance issues, ensuring fairness and consistency.
- Follow up on Zetech Digital School audit reports, preparing departmental action item checklists for compliance.
- Manage end-to-end industrial attachment processes and semesterly student projects, ensuring alignment with academic standards.
- Assist in preparing and managing the departmental examination invigilation timetable.
- Handle escalated examination issues from Departmental Administrators, resolving them promptly and professionally.
- Provide secretarial support during departmental academic meetings, including examination moderation sessions.
- Coordinate student mentorship and academic advisory activities to support student success.
- Organize academic trips, ensuring logistical efficiency and alignment with learning objectives.
- Liaise with technicians and lecturers to ensure the smooth operation of kitchens, workshops, and related facilities.
- Report on assigned areas, providing updates to the Head of Department on operational and academic progress.

Qualifications and Skills
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Education Technology, Cybersecurity, Business Information Technology, Data Science and Analytics, or a related field from an accredited university.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Education Technology, Cybersecurity, Business Information Technology, Data Science and Analytics, or a related field from an accredited university.
- Registered or registrable for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent Doctoral Degree qualification, with evidence of progress.
- At least 3 years of post-qualification work experience in a relevant field.
- Demonstrated university-level teaching and research experience to support academic coordination.
- Registered or registrable with a relevant professional body, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
- Capable of working independently while being committed to collaborating with colleagues across the university.
