About Conciliation Resources

Our work includes direct programming, policy engagement, cross-regional learning, research, and building the capacity of local peacebuilders. CR maintains a strong commitment to gender-responsive peacebuilding as a core strategic imperative.
Gender and Peacebuilding at CR
Gender justice lies at the heart of sustainable peace. Our Gender Strategy 2023–2028: “Towards an Inclusive and Transformative Peace” sets out our commitments to gender responsive and gender transformative approaches in all peacebuilding work.
We approach gender intersectionally, recognising that experiences in conflict are shaped by gender, race, age, class, sexual orientation, ability, and other identities. We prioritise collaboration with Women Human Rights Defenders (WHRDs), feminist networks, and local movements. CR also undertakes cutting-edge research and advocacy on the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda.
