Key Responsibilities
- Maximize product visibility in retail outlets through strategic placement of point-of-sale materials, displays, and improved shelf facings.
- Ensure product availability by monitoring stock levels, identifying out-of-stock items, and generating re-orders.
- Optimize in-store product placement in high-traffic “hot spots” to boost sales.
- Arrange products according to FIFO (First In, First Out) principles, ensuring no short expiries or expired stock in outlets.
- Monitor and report on pricing, ensuring the correct Recommended Retail Price (RRP) is displayed.
- Track competitor activations and report insights to inform sales strategies.
- Build strong relationships with store managers to facilitate re-orders and enhance cooperation.
- Share recommendations to improve sales growth at outlet and regional levels.
- Document all store visits using a designated sales app for accurate reporting.
- Follow a pre-aligned weekly sales route to cover assigned outlets efficiently.
- Approach new distribution locations as per a pre-aligned list to expand market reach.
- Chase weekly payment collections and handle cheque collection at store level.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 2 years of retail experience, preferably in merchandising or sales.
- Experience with Quickmart merchandising is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Fluency in English and Kiswahili for effective communication with store managers and customers.
