Key Responsibilities
Sales Pipeline Development & Marketing
- Assist in identifying and developing a sales pipeline to market AMREF Flying Doctors’ services to new target sectors.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and lead generation activities.
- Support sales prospecting, cold calling, and lead qualification processes.
- Prepare and deliver promotional materials, presentations, and proposals.
- Actively participate in promotional events, exhibitions, and industry networking forums.
Customer Retention & Account Management
- Contribute to customer satisfaction initiatives and customer relationship management.
- Support retention strategies for existing clients while promoting upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
- Maintain updated client portfolios, contact lists, and engagement logs in the CRM system.
- Coordinate follow-up activities with intermediaries and brokers for renewals, payment collection, and contract negotiations.
CRM Database Management
- Update and maintain accurate client records in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Log customer interactions, quotations, proposals, and contractual documents.
- Track renewal timelines, notify clients of pending renewals, and ensure timely closure of contract extensions.
- Assist in processing client orders and service requests in CRM.
Reporting, Data Analysis & Forecasting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports summarizing sales performance, renewals, and business development trends.
- Assist management in generating sales forecasts and business projections.
- Analyze sales data to identify emerging trends and market insights.
Administrative Support & Internal Coordination
- Provide administrative assistance to the Business Development department.
- Assist in preparing documentation for tenders, contracts, proposals, and presentations.
- Manage departmental records, inventory, stationery, and filing systems.
- Support team coordination, scheduling, and meeting preparations.
Client Support & Communication
- Handle incoming inquiries, professionally respond to client requests, and escalate issues appropriately.
- Provide exceptional customer service before, during, and after client engagements.
- Serve as a communication link between clients, intermediaries, and the AMREF Flying Doctors team.
- Support technical troubleshooting with intermediaries, suppliers, and service providers, including the USSD platform.
Revenue Collection & Financial Compliance
- Assist in tracking client payments, issuing invoices, and following up on outstanding balances.
- Work closely with finance and credit control teams to ensure timely collections.
Brand Representation & Public Relations
- Promote AMREF Flying Doctors’ products and services to prospective clients.
- Support negotiation processes with clients and intermediaries to secure profitable contracts.
- Attend industry conferences, exhibitions, and events to increase brand awareness and generate new leads.
Project Participation & Assigned Duties
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on business development projects.
- Participate in assigned tasks that contribute to overall department objectives.
- Perform additional duties as delegated by supervisors to support business operations.
Qualifications and Skills
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communication, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, CRM systems).
- Good understanding of customer communication platforms such as CRM systems.
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
