Stock Checking and Restocking
- Conduct regular and systematic walk-throughs across all aisles to identify low-stock or out-of-stock items.
- Replenish empty or depleted shelves promptly by retrieving goods from the backroom or warehouse storage.
- Accurately place items in their designated shelf categories, following barcode and labeling protocols.
- Ensure stock levels are maintained during all operational hours, especially during peak shopping times.
Removal of Expired Stock
- Monitor expiry dates on all visible and shelved products, including refrigerated and frozen items.
- Remove expired goods promptly to maintain health and safety compliance.
- Document and report expired stock in line with internal inventory procedures.
- Assist inventory control teams with data updates and stock adjustments.
Arrangement of Shelves, Refrigerators, and Freezers
- Neatly arrange and front-face all products on shelves to maximize visibility and accessibility.
- Follow standardized layout guides (planograms) to ensure consistency across aisles and product categories.
- Organize products in refrigerators and freezers based on cold-chain protocols.
- Rotate display positions for featured items or promotional stock to optimize sales performance.
Product Rotation Using FIFO
- Apply First-In-First-Out (FIFO) stock rotation procedures to ensure that older inventory is sold first.
- Inspect best-before and use-by dates during each restocking session.
- Coordinate with department supervisors when managing high-turnover or short-dated items.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Perform daily shelf cleaning duties to remove dust, spills, or debris.
- Sanitize refrigeration units, freezers, and display units according to hygiene policies.
- Dispose of waste packaging, shrink-wrap, and expired items using approved disposal channels.
- Keep stockrooms and replenishment areas clean, labeled, and organized.
Customer Assistance
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding product location, availability, or substitutions.

Qualifications and Skills

Work Experience
