Key Responsibilities

As the Sales Associate, you will play a critical role in expanding Pawa IT’s market share and client portfolio across Africa. Your duties will include but are not limited to:

Lead Generation & Qualification

  • Proactively identify and generate qualified leads across multiple channels including cold calls, emails, webinars, networking events, and digital platforms
  • Research prospective clients to understand their business models, digital maturity, and cloud readiness
  • Develop prospecting strategies that align with quarterly sales goals
  • Nurture and qualify leads to build a strong and sustainable pipeline
  • Track all activities using CRM software to maintain visibility into lead sources and prospect stages
  • Attend trade shows, virtual expos, and industry events to promote Pawa IT’s solutions

Client Management & Sales Process Execution

  • Present Pawa IT’s cloud portfolio including Google Workspace, GCP, Kandji, and Chromebooks in a clear and compelling manner
  • Conduct virtual and in-person product demonstrations tailored to specific client needs
  • Manage the full sales cycle: from first contact to closing deals and signing contracts
  • Develop and send customized proposals that solve specific client pain points
  • Lead contract negotiations and maintain a healthy closing ratio
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions in the CRM system
  • Coordinate with finance and legal teams to ensure client documentation and invoicing compliance

Market Awareness & Product Expertise

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the cloud services offered by Pawa IT
  • Understand technical and business use cases for Google Cloud, Workspace, and Kandji
  • Stay informed about competitors, industry trends, pricing benchmarks, and regulatory changes
  • Share customer feedback and market insights with the sales and product teams to inform strategy
  • Prepare market intelligence briefs to support strategic planning
  • Translate market trends into business development opportunities

Collaboration & Sales Enablement

  • Work hand-in-hand with the Sales Program Manager to execute quarterly and annual sales plans
  • Coordinate with marketing and technical teams for events, proposals, and campaigns
  • Assist in creating sales content, including slide decks, whitepapers, and case studies
  • Participate in internal and external training sessions to continuously improve product knowledge and soft skills
  • Support development of outbound email campaigns and lead scoring workflows
  • Organize sales playbooks for different buyer personas and verticals

Reporting & Forecasting

  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly sales activity reports
  • Update and manage opportunity pipeline in CRM software
  • Provide sales forecasts and projections to the Sales Program Manager
  • Analyze lost opportunities to refine outreach tactics and improve future conversion
  • Participate in quarterly business reviews and planning cycles
  • Recommend corrective actions based on forecast performance gaps

Day-to-Day Activities

  • Conduct discovery calls and online demos for potential clients
  • Engage with decision-makers including IT leads, CFOs, and procurement heads
  • Manage proposal follow-ups, quote revisions, and stakeholder meetings
  • Customize product offerings based on industry or client requirements
  • Handle client onboarding handover to project implementation teams
  • Resolve pre-sales objections and ensure excellent client experience during the buying cycle
  • Monitor metrics such as call-to-meeting ratio, deal size, and velocity to identify growth levers

Qualifications and Experience

To succeed in this role, you must possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, IT, or a related discipline
  • 4–5 years of experience in sales, preferably in cloud computing, SaaS, or IT solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to exceed sales targets and grow client accounts
  • Experience selling digital transformation, cloud migration, or collaboration tools is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud products or equivalent SaaS platforms (Microsoft 365, AWS, etc.)
  • Experience working with CRM software such as Zoho CRM, HubSpot, or Salesforce
  • Experience closing complex B2B deals with multiple stakeholders involved
  • Exposure to consultative sales methodologies such as MEDDIC or SPIN selling is a plus
