1. Position: Procurement Intern
Job Overview
The Procurement Intern will support the supply chain and procurement department in handling daily purchasing functions, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services, and maintaining accurate records. The intern will work closely with senior procurement officers to gain real-world experience in vendor management, logistics coordination, inventory control, and procurement compliance.
This internship is ideal for graduates seeking professional exposure in procurement operations within a design and manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in sourcing suppliers and negotiating prices for materials and services
- Collaborate with the procurement officer to track orders and follow up on deliveries
- Prepare and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records
- Participate in the evaluation of supplier performance, lead times, quality, and reliability
- Coordinate internal needs and communicate timelines to suppliers and vendors
- Review quotations, proposals, and contracts to ensure alignment with project timelines
- Assist with vendor onboarding, documentation, and compliance verification
- Update procurement trackers and report status of purchases to the operations team
Requirements and Qualifications

2. Position: Data Entry Clerk

The Data Entry Clerk is a pivotal role responsible for managing the flow of information across departments. The position ensures data integrity, accuracy, and accessibility, enabling other units such as finance, operations, procurement, and HR to function efficiently.
This role is suited for candidates with a knack for details, excellent computer skills, and a background in administration, finance, or data management. You will be working across multiple databases and systems to support decision-making and improve internal workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately input and update data into company systems (e.g., orders, invoices, vendor records)
- Verify data for errors and conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Maintain organized filing systems, both electronic and physical
- Collaborate with finance and procurement to ensure data alignment
- Prepare periodic reports and summaries based on recorded data
- Support departments with report generation, data sorting, and analysis
- Track and flag inconsistencies for follow-up and resolution
- Archive outdated documents in accordance with company data retention policies
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
- CPA Part I or II is an advantage
- Minimum 1 year of data entry, administration, or clerical experience preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of formulas (SUM, VLOOKUP, IF)

3. Position: Accountant
Job Overview
Timber World is seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated Accountant to lead the company’s financial reporting, compliance, and operational finance activities. This is a critical role that supports the company’s strategic goals by ensuring proper financial controls, transparency, and data-driven decision-making.
The successful candidate will take charge of financial analysis, planning, compliance, and tax administration, working closely with management and auditors to keep the business fiscally sound and aligned with regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain general ledger, journal entries, and supporting documentation
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Conduct bank reconciliations, supplier reconciliations, and petty cash reviews
- Ensure timely remittance and filing of statutory deductions (VAT, PAYE, NHIF, NSSF)
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring proper billing and collections
- Manage cash flow forecasting and identify areas of risk or opportunity
- Provide financial data and support for internal decision-making
- Coordinate external audit activities and provide requested documentation
- Implement cost-control mechanisms to improve financial efficiency
- Develop budget projections and conduct variance analysis reports
- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws, accounting standards, and government regulations
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field
- CPA-K, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification (required)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar accounting role
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
- Familiarity with manufacturing or construction-based financial operations is an added advantage
